Selection of recipients
Scholarship America administers the Minority Scholarship Programs for Accenture, and selects the scholarship recipients. Recipients are chosen based on the information provided in their applications. Education information (grade point average, major, etc.) is weighted heavily, as is involvement in extracurricular activities. Essays are reviewed for overall content and originality. Scholarship recipients are selected based strictly on merit—financial need is not considered. This program awards scholarships directly to diverse students and is targeted towards African American, Hispanic, Asian American and Native American undergraduate students.
Payment of awards
Scholarship America processes scholarship awards on behalf of Accenture in two equal installments. Checks are mailed directly to each recipient’s home address on August 15 and December 30. Checks are made payable to the institution at which the student is studying.
Obligations
Recipients have no obligation to Accenture. They are, however, required to provide all requested information and to notify Scholarship America of any changes in address, school enrollment, or other pertinent information.
Revisions
Accenture reserves the right to review the conditions and procedures of this scholarship program and to make changes at any time including termination of the program.
Administration and additional Information
This scholarship program is administered by Scholarship Management Services, a department of Scholarship America. Scholarship America is a national nonprofit educational support and student aid service organization that seeks to involve and assist the private sector in expanding educational opportunities and encouraging educational achievement.
